November 14, 2019 Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Process Irina Litvinova participated in an interagency scientific and practical round table on the topic: "Topical issues of the theory and practice of pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses", held at the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
Speakers include international experts from the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada's profile committees, experts from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Agency, also scientists from leading institutions of higher education and research institutions of law enforcement.
During the fruitful professional discussion, the following conclusions were drawn: the introduction of a simplified pre-trial investigation procedure in Ukraine will help to create the necessary legal tools that can effectively ensure law and order in difficult socio-political conditions, both in the present and in the future.
