On November 28, 2019, a senior lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Process at the Faculty of Law, Irina Varava, held a thematic session for students of grades 10-11 of Gymnasium "Fortuna" in Kyiv on the topic: How not to become a victim of crime.
The purpose of the meeting is to familiarize the students with the victim's behavior, which can either knowingly or unknowingly lead to a provocation of an offense.
During the session, the issues of actions to be taken in certain situations of life are discussed, as well as how to behave properly in cases where you become a witness of an offense or a direct victim of an offender attack. After all, having this knowledge, everyone is able to protect and protect themselves, their friends and relatives from unlawful attacks.
In addition, Irina Varava informed that in order to raise the legal awareness of Ukrainians and inform citizens about the use and protection of their rights in everyday life, a national law project of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine “I HAVE THE RIGHT!” Started. The project provides information to citizens and practical recommendations on protection of rights in the most relevant areas.
