On November 13, 2019, students of the academic groups PR-106, PR-204 of the Faculty of Law, accompanied by mentors Yulia Lantsedova and Lilia Grekova, visited the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is the highest court in the judicial system of Ukraine, which ensures the constancy and unity of judicial practice in the manner and manner determined by the procedural law. During the event, students learned about the main stages of development of the Supreme Court, the history of its formation, as well as the features of its work at the present stage. Particularly, the students' attention was focused on judicial reform, according to which changes in the work and composition of the court continue to occur. According to the President of the Supreme Court, its reform can lead to a deterioration in the quality of court decisions, because it is the Supreme Court that makes the final decisions on cases and cannot suffer from a lack of personnel. Therefore, the "reset" of the staff of the Supreme Court is premature. Such events are professionally oriented and important practical tools that contribute to raising the level of legal awareness and training of future lawyers. |
