On November 11, 2019, students of the academic group PR-304 of the Faculty of Law, together with a mentor Yulia Iurynets, visited the Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is one of the first monasteries in the Old Russian State, which was founded in 1051 by the monk Anthony and his disciple Theodosius. Prince Svyatoslav II Yaroslavich presented the monastery with a plateau above the caves, where later beautiful stone temples decorated with paintings, cells, fortress towers and other buildings grew. The architectural ensemble of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, which took shape over almost nine centuries, has unique artistic value and reflects the development of Ukrainian culture and spirituality, a change in stylistic directions in art, and the process of improving engineering designs.
During the excursion students were especially interested in the Near and Far Caves of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, which are separated by a ravine and a mountain ridge. The event has a significant impact on the spiritual state of the individual and forms the worldview and worldview of a person, determines the level of cultural development of society. |
