On November 21, 2019, the All-Ukrainian Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Aero-2019. Air and space law”. The annual holding of this scientific event is evidence of the importance of issues related to the development of the aviation and space squad, which occurs with the direct participation of lawyers working on improving national legislation and solving problems of legal regulation in this area. The conference was attended by 253 participants from 15 regions of Ukraine, 28 educational institutions and 14 institutions and organizations whose activities are related to the aerospace industry, which indicates the interest of young people in the development of scientific research on a given topic. Before the event, in honor of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, the conference participants honored the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine with a minute of silence. Opening the plenary session of the conference, Rector Vladimir Isaenko noted the scientific achievements of the NAU and the persistent work of the university staff on the training of aviation industry specialists. The rector also shared with the audience the tangible results of the cooperation of the NAU with the International Civil Aviation Organization. Vice-rector for scientific work Vladimir Kharchenko congratulated those present on an important scientific event and expressed hope that in the near future lawyers will be able to solve complex problems related to space law, as well as quickly respond to all legal challenges of the modern world. Dean of the Law Faculty Irina Sopilko noted that the Law Faculty, as always, remains an open discussion platform for scientists and practitioners working in the aviation field, and the recommendations made by the participants of the conference will be implemented in the educational process, used for further scientific development of the problems of air and space law, as well as the improvement of national legislation in the context of adaptation to the norms and requirements of international standards. Substantive presentations were made by Galina Suslova, Director of the ICAO Institute; Eugene Hainatsky - CEO of SkyUp Airlines; Natalia Gostischeva - Senior Legal Advisor at SkyUp Airlines; Natalya Dryuk - head of the second-line control department of the Borispol-1 border guard department of OKPP Kiev; Elena Kosovets - Deputy Production Director of the Ukrainian Aviation Metrological Center; Alexander Provozin - Deputy Chairman of the Board for Information Protection of the Research Institute of Electromechanical Instruments; Veniamin Timoshenko - Chairman of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Aircraft Workers; Oleksandra Shulik - Head of the Audit and Compliance Department of the State Aviation Enterprise of Ukraine, etc. Holding an annual conference on this topic confirms that scientific studies and discussions of modern problems of formation and development prospects of the aerospace industry, as well as a scientific discussion on issues related to the peculiarities of legal regulation of the aerospace industry, public-law mechanism for the implementation of state policy in the field of aviation, criminal legal protection and protection of citizens' rights in the transport sector, strategic priorities for the development of transport, aerospace and the environmental industry and law, is important and will become an impetus for the development of new ideas and options for solving complex problems arising in everyday legal practice and in the preparation of legal acts. |
