On October 7, 2019, the Law Faculty hosted a meeting of the Mediation Center on the topics of "Lawyer's Day" and "World Space Week".
Students of the academic group PR-101 prepared interesting reports and informative presentations. Daria Bakhina revealed the history and preconditions of the legal profession. Justice in Latin means "fairness", and therefore, to affirm and ensure justice in society is the main purpose that unites lawyers from different fields of activity - judges, attorneys, notaries, legal advisers, law enforcement officials," - said student.
Angela Konchak revealed the basic requirements of the professional ethics of lawyers and noted that Lawyer's Day is a professional holiday of people whose whole life is subject to the slogan "Know the law, serve the law, defend the law".
Ukraine's lawyers are tasked with upholding the rule of law, improving legislation, ensuring respect for citizens' rights and freedoms, and enhancing the legal culture of the people.
Denys Shapoval noted that on December 6, 1999, the UN General Assembly proclaimed the period from October 4 to October 10, World Space Week. World Space Week is the largest annual event in the world dedicated to space exploration. The main tasks are to assist the formation of future specialists in the field of astronautics, to provide tangible public support for the space program, to address the issue of raising public awareness of space activities, to promote the development of international cooperation in space propaganda and educational work.
Such activities shape the students' professional culture and cognitive interest in the future profession.
