On September 18, 2019, at the Law Faculty, a methodological seminar was held for mentors and group commanders on the topic: «Civic Education in the HEA: Essence and Prospects».
The seminar was attended by: Dean of the Faculty Irina Sopilko, Head of the Department for Work with Students of NAU Olena Kalinichenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of NAU, Expert on the monitoring of the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Development of Civic Competences in Ukraine - DOCCU" Inna Semenets dean Alisa Logvinenko, senior mentor Olena Makeіevа, mentors and team commanders.
During the event the issues of civic education in higher education institutions of Ukraine in the context of European integration were discussed, as well as the problem of forming the civic competences of modern youth. Particularly interesting and informative was the speech of Inna Semenets-Orlova, who described the methods of civic education that can be used by mentors in her work, presented interesting techniques and examples of civic education in the HEA. The lively discussion raised the issues of civic activity of student youth, promising directions of introduction of civic education in organizational work with students.
Such activities help to shape active civic position of student youth, high level of justice and legal culture, form a new generation of citizens who will build a democratic Ukrainian state.
