On June 20, 2019, students of the academic group PR-401 of the Faculty of Law, led by mentor Olena Makeieva, visited the A.V. Fomin Botanical Garden
This event was dedicated to the celebration of Youth Day. During the excursion, students learned that the Botanical Garden named after Academician A.V. Fomin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, founded in 1839, is one of the oldest botanical institutions in Ukraine. It is a scientific-research, educational and environmental institution that aims at preserving, studying and enriching plant resources by species of local and global flora by creating, replenishing and preserving botanical collections. The students were interested in wonderful species of plants, because the efforts of several generations of scientists in the Botanical Garden have collected a unique collection of plants of different geographical origin, numbering about 9000 species, varieties, forms and varieties and which is one of the largest in Ukraine.
Such events establish the environmental culture of lawyers, which provides the protection of the natural environment and the prevention of violations of environmental legislation.
