On June 19, 2019, during the course of professional studying practice, students of the 1 st year of the Faculty of Law, led by the assistant of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Liudmyla Shapenko, visited the Supreme Court's representative chamber (Klovsky Palace) and the Cassation Courts of the Supreme Court.
The visit to the Klovsky Palace, now a national monument, allowed students to learn about the functional purpose of the Grand Chamber in the light of modern changes, as well as the structural transformation of the highest judicial body and the formation of a new Supreme Court. A review of the exposition of the Museum of the Supreme Court, covering the period from the prehistory to the modern history of the Supreme Court and containing the most important judicial records and historical documents, opened up to the freshmen the factual evidence of the problems of the development of the judiciary at various stages of state building in Ukraine.
During the complex excursion, future lawyers also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the activity of the structural units of the Cassation Administrative Court, the specifics of criminal proceedings carried out by the panel of judges of the Cassation Criminal Court, as well as the organization and content of the Cassation Economic Court.
At the end of the event, the students visited the Museum of History of Economic Courts of Ukraine, whose exhibition materials demonstrate the professional and scientific activities of the Supreme Court judges, publishing and charitable activities of the economic courts of Ukraine, the fighting feats of judges and employees of the economic courts of Ukraine in the operation of the united forces in the East of Ukraine; inspected the courtrooms, the conference room, the atrium, the library of the Economic Court of Cassation, which gave them the opportunity to form a clearer picture of the particulars of the profession of judge and work in the judiciary.
