On May 16, 2019, in the framework of the work of the Second International Youth Scientific Law Forum dedicated to the Day of Science, a presentation of the collective monograph "Modern Challenges of Legal Education in the University Space" was presented at the Faculty of Law.
The publication is prepared by an author's team, which includes scientific and pedagogical staff of the Law Department of the NAU and the State University of Educational Sciences "University of Management Education" NAPN of Ukraine.
Opening the event, Dean of the Faculty of Law Iryna Sopilko noted that the monograph is devoted to questions of rethinking the role of universities in the educational space, analysis of the peculiarities of the adaptation of the educational process to the European standards of educational activity. Today, the question of the formation of conscious citizens in the university space is particularly relevant. The national doctrine of educational development has set the goal of educating a person, a morally perfect person, who could solve the complex problems that faced our state. Therefore, the formation of national consciousness in youth is a priority area of the Law Faculty of the National Aviation University.
The discussion was joined by: associate Professor of the Department of theory and history of state and law Svetlana Golovko, who stressed the leading role of education in the formation of innovative personality, which is characterized by innovative thinking and innovative consciousness. Only an innovative institution of higher education is able to provide comprehensive development of the student, his / her formation as a highly qualified specialist. Accordingly, the innovative activity of the University is an objective condition of its competitiveness in the market of educational services. Head of the Department of civil law and procedure Svetlana Vishnovetskaya drew attention to the fact that the modern reform of higher education assumes that within the framework of the new concept of University education and the system of evaluation of performance indicators of higher education institutions one of the determining factors of their competitiveness is the activation of research activities of both scientific and pedagogical workers and students. Professor of the Department of constitutional and administrative law Alexander Radziwill shared his views on the special place of the discipline "International law" in modern systems of legal education, as almost all States of the world today form their national legislation by implementing the norms and principles of international law in national legal systems. In this regard, the codification of international law is carried out primarily through the conclusion of international treaties between States and the interpretation of the texts of international acts, which is an integral part of legal practice, in the process of formation and maintenance of international cooperation. This, in turn, implies a proper level of knowledge in special issues, the amount of which increases over time.
In general, the authors substantiate the position that the growth of student and teaching mobility, the unification of educational programs and the transnationalization of higher education institutions are consistent with the processes of globalization of the world educational space and will ensure that national institutions of higher education reach the international level of educational services.
