During April 2019, in order to express deep respect for the eternal deed of the fallen in World War II, as well as the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian people, students of groups PR-106 of the Law Faculty and ZD-119Ba of the Faculty of Transport, Management and Logistics under the guidance of a senior teacher in the department of constitutional and administrative Law of the Faculty of Law of Oksana Mironets visited the obelisk of Glory, the grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Eternal Glory of the city of Kiev, as well as the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decoration vnogo art.
Freshmen from Lebanon, Ghana, Nigeria, and Ukraine learned that the park’s name was dedicated to victory in World War II, the 26-meter obelisk of Glory was established in 1957, and at its foot is a monument to the Unknown Soldier. It became known to students that in the alley of the Fallen Heroes there are 2 gravestones without inscriptions and 34 nominal ones, where twelve Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Georgian and Kazakh Heroes of the Soviet Union perpetuated, and the flame of the Eternal Flame for the solemn opening ceremony of the monument was delivered directly from the Stalingrad Battlefield .
In the museum, students had the opportunity to see an exhibition of national clothes of the last century from different regions of Ukraine, a room with towels, a large collection of glassware, paintings of flowers, icons, carpets, porcelain, iron and wood, as well as antique furniture and household items .
Visiting places of the post-war period is extremely important for modern youth, since the world and the invaluable sacrifice for it, brought by our ancestors, deserves the eternal respect of both Ukrainian and foreign citizens. At the same time, the multilateral culture of our people must be a source of knowledge for the youth of all countries.
