On April 19, 2019, the Department of Criminal Law and the Process of the Legal Faculty hosted the Scientific and Practical Round a table on the topic "Issues of improving the teaching of criminal legal cycle’s disciplines".
The scientific and practical Round Table was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of the department and representatives of higher educational institutions and state and public organizations, among them: Boris Leonov - Chief Scientist of the SBU, Doctor of Science in Law, Senior Researcher; Anna Shvedova - associate professor of the department of general law disciplines of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, candidate of science, associate professor; Makar Marchuk - Chief Advisor of the Legal Support Department considering the constitutional complaints of the management of the processing of constitutional complaints of the Legal Department of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine; Laschuk Efrem - candidate of science, associate professor, director of political and legal issues of the IT Association of Ukraine; Nestor Natalia - Candidate of Law, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Deputy Director of the KNIICE; Yanchuk Alexandra - candidate of science, associate professor, lawyer, director of the law firm "Bonum"; Mbagh Michael - 1st year student, Taurida National University; Kandov Firdavs Fakhreddin-ogly - 1st year student, Kyiv International University; Alexander Rastorguev and Yuri Stankevich - postgraduate students of the Faculty of Law; Maystro Diane, Kovalev Victoria, Dobrovolsky Denis, Baz Anastasia, Nechiporenko Bogdan, Kudinsky Vitaliy, Futur Svetlana - students of the Magistracy of the Faculty of Law.
During the meeting the topical issues of the methodology of teaching criminal and criminal procedural law, criminology, criminology, advocacy, and prosecutor's office were discussed. Practicing lawyers and practitioners have highlighted the issues they encounter when graduate masters come to work for them.
The scientists discussed the issues of improving the teaching of criminal-law cycle’s disciplines and pointed to the problems that exist today in the scientific and educational environment.
According to the results of the scientific-practical Round Table, appropriate proposals were offered on teaching such specialized disciplines as criminal and criminal procedural law, criminalistics, criminology, law office, prosecutor's office. The seminar participants paid special attention to the process of reforming these branches of law.
