On April 12, 2019, the scientific and practical round table on the topic "Legal Aspects of the Development of the Aerospace Branch" was organized by the Commercial, Air and Space Law Department of the Faculty of Law of the National Aviation University.
Director of the Kyiv filiation of the National Center for Aerospace Education of the Youth of name Makarova, executive director of public organization "The Ukrainian Youth Aerospace Association "Suziria" Sergey Yatsko handed the diploma of the Dean of the Faculty of Law Irina Sopilko for many years of fruitful work in the area of aerospace education of young people and popularization of the space branch of Ukraine and thanked for the training of well-educated lawyers.
The speeches of the invited guests were devoted to the problems of improving the legal regulation of the aerospace branch. Oleksandr Briginets, Professor of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the National University of Life and Environmental Science of Ukraine, Doctor of Science, the associate professor said in a speech on the legal security of the aerospace brunch. The interest of students and scientific and pedagogical staff caused Yevhen Shevchuk's report on the practice of DLA Piper litigation regarding technical malfunctions and emergency situations in EU air law. The problem of the legal regime of aviation land was disclosed in the statement by Larisa Milimko, Ph.D., the associate professor of the department of economic law and the NUSFSU. The imperfection of current international and national legislation was highlighted in the report by Natalia Khotsyanovska, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Civil Law and Process of the Faculty of Law of the NAU on "Problems of using aviation transport in multimodal transportation: the legal aspect". Research by Galina Mulyr, the associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law, Process and Criminology of the Academy of Labor, Social Relations and Tourism, Ph.D. has reported the historical aspects of the development and establishment of civil aviation in Ukraine. The compensation for losses incurred by the passengers during fly delays was set out in the report of the lawyer Tetyana Chasova.
The materials of the round table will contribute to the drafting of amendments and additions to current regulatory acts of Ukraine in the aerospace branch.
