On January 21, 2019, students of the law institute Anna Poliacko and Olena Khomchenko together with the director of Legal Consulting "Legal Clinic" Maxim Dybanem took part in the conference «Interaction of state bodies with civil society as a prerequisite for a successful solution to the legal problems of society».
The conference was aimed at public representatives involved in legal education, centers of free legal aid, heads and members of legal clinics, as well as public authorities. The organizer of the event was the Main Territorial Department of Justice of the City of Kyiv. The event was conducted within the framework of the implementation of the law-education project «I have a right!», Which is monitored and coordinated by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
During the conference, the following topics were highlighted: «Cooperation of state institutions with civil society. Achievements and goals», «Increasing people's access to legal aid through cooperation between the state and the public», «The activities of the legal clinic as a significant factor in increasing the availability of legal information to the population», «The system of free legal aid as a means of ensuring and protecting the rights of citizens».
Participants of the conference had an opportunity to express their opinion on legal issues of cooperation with state authorities, which became the basis for the formation of legal culture and legal consciousness, raising the level of knowledge about the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine.
