On December 13, 2018, students of the academic group PR-403 of the Educational and Scientific Law Institute, accompanied by mentor, associate professor of economic, air and space law Natalia Zhmur, visited the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babiy Yar", which is located in the Shevchenko district of Kiev.
Students had the opportunity to learn about the tragedy of Babi Yar, which occurred during the temporary occupation of our city by the German fascist troops, familiarized with the Syretsky memorial complex, saw the place of mass destruction of Kievites, monuments on the territory of the memorial complex (alley "Road of Sorrow", monuments to Tatiana Marcus, Yelena Telig, a monument to Soviet citizens and prisoners of war of soldiers and officers of the Soviet Army, shot by German fascists at Babi Yar, a memorial sign "Minor", a monument to those shot in Ba rd Yar children, and others.).
Such patriotic events are the primary source of the formation and development of national self-consciousness of youth, focused on the expression of national interests.
