December 11, 2018, in the framework of vocational guidance work, Alexander Radziwill, Professor of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Educational and Scientific Law Institute, held a legal lecture hall for students of 10-11th grades of secondary school No. 149 in Kiev on the topic “Mission of a lawyer in the development of legal welfare state".In his speech, Alexander Radziwill revealed the historical prerequisites and basic components of the concepts of “rule of law” and “welfare state”, which he compared with the first and second “generations” of international legal standards in the field of the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. Noting the interdependence of the legal basis of public order and social orientation of state bodies, on the one hand, and the general motivation and style of interpersonal communications, including government representatives with the population, the speaker noted the role of OSCE advisory acts in the human dimension in the legal and institutional provision of a “friendly legal environment” for ordinary citizens and the leading role of lawyers in this public health process . During the lecture, the constitutional foundations for the development of a legal social state in Ukraine were also discussed. t the end of the event, an active discussion took place on issues related to the decline of the authority of lawyers in Ukraine, during which it was noted the need for a general increase in the level of legal culture of both representatives of law enforcement agencies and the entire population by improving the quality of legal education.
