December 10, 2018 at the Educational-Scientific Law Institute held a traditional competition "The Smartest freshman-2018".
The competition consisted of three rounds, which was attended by 18 first year students, namely: Maxim Nizhnik (PR-101), Irina Lichithenko (PR-101), Vladislav Priymak (PR-101), Igor Rudoy (PR-101), Valeria Dyving (PR-102), Alexander Ruzhitsky (PR-102), Denis Kateshenok (PR-102), Alexander Kibenko (PR-103), Irina Osadchenko (PR-103), Victoria Kirichenko (PR-103), Pavlo Yareshko (PR-104), Olexander Demyanchuk (PR-104), Salomia Svurudyk (PR-104), Anastasia Maidachevska (PR-104), Kate Chayka (PR-104), Julia Ysata (PR-105), Vitaly Dudnik (PR-106), Daria Shikerjava (PR-106).
Students were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of: Rose Vinetska – rector for economic work of the NAU . Iryna Sopilko – director of the ESIL, of associate, Professor of Department of Constitutional and Administrative law; Kseniya Tokareva – law firm partner SotLex,PhD; Vadim Vishnevetsky – Deputy Director ESILfor educational and methodical work, candidate of law..; Alisa Logvinenko, Deputy Director of the ESIL for working with students, senior lecturer in criminal law and procedure; Ivan Borodin - Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Doctor of Law, Professor; Yuri Pivovar - Head of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor; Svetlana Vishnovetskaya - Head of the Department of Civil Law and Process, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor.
In the first round, the jury assessed the students' knowledge of the theory and history of the state and law, constitutional law, the history of Ukraine, the organization of judicial and law enforcement bodies by means of a variable survey. According to the results of the first round, 10 freshmen (Ekaterina Chaika, Anastasia Maydachevska, Irina Likhitchenko, Yulia Usat, Solomiya Sviridyuk, Valeria Duving, Denis Kateschenok, Alexander Demyanchuk, Pavel Yareshko, Maxim Nizhnik) got into the second round, and only 3 of them reached the final (Anastasia Maidachevska, Irina Likhitchenko, Yekaterina Chaika), who in the third decisive round gave express answers to questions in the categories “History of Ukraine”, “OSPO”, “TDP”.
In the course of persistent struggle, they won: first place - Anastasia Maydachevska (group PR-104), second place - Irina Likhitchenko (group PR-101), third place - Ekaterina Chaika (group PR-104).
