On November 22, 2018, the all-Ukrainian conference of young scientists and students "Aero-2018" was held at the Educational - Scientific Institute of Law of the National Aviation University. Air and space law". The annual holding of this scientific event is evidence of the importance of issues related to the legal regulation of the aerospace industry.
The conference was attended by 268 participants from 18 regions of Ukraine, 27 educational institutions and 17 institutions and organizations whose activities are related to the aerospace industry, which indicates the interest of young people in the development of research on a topic.
The plenary session of the conference was opened by: rector of NAU, doctor of biological Sciences, candidate of technical Sciences, Professor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher school of Ukraine, honored worker of education of Ukraine Vladimir Isaenko-who stressed the scientific and educational achievements of the University and noted the importance of the event and the involvement of young scientists and students, for which the future not only of the University, but also the prospects of space and air law; Director of the ESIL , Professor Irina Sopilko, who congratulated the participants on the beginning of the conference and expressed the hope that young scientists with their progressive creative thinking will be able to overcome stereotypes and develop the necessary recommendations in the field of improvement of air and space law.
The guest of honor of the current scientific and practical conference " Aero-2018. Air and space law " became the Director of the Institute of state and law of V. M. Koretsky of the NAS of Ukraine, doctor of law, Professor, academician of the NAS of Ukraine, academician of the Academy of legal Sciences of Ukraine Yuriy Shemshuchenko, who in his welcoming speech noted that the formation and development of space law in our country is closely connected with the activities of the International center for space law, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. On this occasion, the rector of NAU Vladimir Isaenko congratulated the staff of the center and presented a memorable address and gifts.
Well-known Ukrainian scientists, heads of aviation enterprises, representatives of state structures, legal practitioners who directly solve complex legal problems related to certification, competition, privatization, bankruptcy, management and other aspects of space and air law shared their thoughts with the audience. With interest were heard informative reports of Galina Suslova - head of the ICAO Institute, Professor, honored worker of the higher school of Ukraine, expert of the ICAO, Victor Kovalsky-Chairman of the Kiev city organization of the NGO "Union of lawyers of Ukraine", President of the publishing organization Yurinkom inter, chief editor of the newspaper "Legal Bulletin of Ukraine", doctor of law, Professor, Peter Lipovenko-President Of the Association "Airports of Ukraine" civil aviation, Bogdan Dolince-head of the training center of the international airport "Borispol", Igor Zelinsky - head of the Department of information and analytical support Of the state aviation service of Ukraine, Irina Pilipchuk - head of the sector for the prevention and detection of corruption of the State aviation service of Ukraine, Vasily semenyaki – senior researcher of the Institute of state and law of NAS of Ukraine. M. Koretsky, candidate of legal Sciences, Sergey Yatskov-Director of the Kiev branch of the national center for aerospace education of youth, the Executive Director of the public organization "Ukrainian youth aerospace Association "Asterism" (UMAKO "Asterism") and others.
During the solemn opening of the conference, scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the Institute received gratitude and memorable gifts from the Union of lawyers.
Speakers at the plenary session expressed their common vision of the prospects for improving the legal regulation of the aerospace industry, noted the need for the development of aviation transport infrastructure; the development of rocket science, providing the population with affordable, quality and safe air transport services; creating conditions that will reduce or neutralize the impact of criminal factors on the spread of corruption.
Proposals and recommendations made by the participants of the conference will be implemented in the educational process, used for further scientific developments, as well as for the improvement of national legislation, in the context of adaptation to the norms and requirements of international standards.
