On November 19, 2018, students of the 3rd year of the Educational and Legal Law Institute together with the Director of Legal Consulting "Legal Clinic" Maxim Dibanem attended the All-Ukrainian Action for Schoolchildren of 4th, 7th and 8th grades.
"Lessons of Justice" took place at a specialized school І-ІІІ degrees №313 of Kyiv with in-depth study of information technologies. The organizers of the event were the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine, with the support of the Center of the Family of Solomyansky District in Kyiv, the State Administration.
Lessons have been held by the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine:
- Judge of the Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv Julia Ivanina.
- Judge of the Solomyansky district court in Kyiv Victoria Zhovnovatyuk and Marina Lozynska.
- Judge of the Holosiivsky District Court of Kyiv Natalia Dmytruk.
- Judge of the Fastov City Court of Kyiv Region Yevhenia Chernyshova.
- Judge of the Economic Court of Kyiv Anna Bondarenko.
During the event, a thematic cartoon (created and developed with the support of the Program of the United States Agency for International Development) was presented, which highlighted the typical situation where justice is the main factor in making a judicial decision.
The judges stopped broadcasting the cartoon in the right place, enabling young listeners to express their own opinion of "justice" in the context of this story. The pupils actively expressed their thoughts, comments, were divided into groups on the adherence to one or the other option and asked interesting questions.
Students were delighted and interested in asking lecturers about the practice of court sessions, getting acquainted with the basic rights, freedoms and duties of a citizen of Ukraine, which are declared in the Constitution of Ukraine.
The event was carried out within the framework of the grant-raising project "Increasing the awareness of children on the activities of courts" with the support of the New Administration of Justice Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
