On November 6, 2018 students of the academic group PR-401, led by mentor Olena Makeieva, visited a monument to fallen soldiers for the liberation of Kyiv.During the excursion, students learned that 75 years ago, Kyiv was liberated from the Nazi invaders. This was the result of the Battle of Kyiv, which lasted from November 3 to 13, 1943, and was part of the Battle of the Dnieper, one of the largest military operations in world's history. It involved up to four million people on both sides, with losses of more than two million people. Students put flowers to the monument and with a minute of silence honored the memory of fallen heroes. Such events form a national consciousness and interest in the historical past in the modern youth.
