Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Olena Makeyeva took part in the Round Table on the theme "Countering the Discrimination of Women from Vulnerable Groups: Methods, Means, Ways and Directions" organized by Scientific Center for the Study of Civil Society in Kyiv Regional Center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences on 5 November 2018.Famous lawyers, as well as employees of state authorities, research institutions and institutions of higher education participated in the Round Table. A greetings to the participants were addressed by the head of the Kyiv Regional Center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Natalia Kuznetsova. Reports of the head of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky academician Natalia Onischenko, People's Deputy of Ukraine Iryna Suslova, Permanent Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Anatoliy Selivanov and other representatives of state authorities, research institutions, higher educational institutions, mass media and public organizations were informative and accomplished. Elena Makeyeva, a member of the Research Center of Civil Society Research, made a speech on the topic "The Role of the Media in Promoting a Culture of Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination." Such measures on scientific work have not only cognitive value, but also contribute to raising the level of professionalism of lecturers.
