On September 21, 2018, students of the groups PR-106 and PR-206 visited the monuments of legendary guerrilla leaders Sidor Kovpak and Oleksiy Fedorov as part of the Day of Partisan Glory under the leadership of the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of Educational and Research Law Institute Oksana Myronets.During the tour, the lawyers learned that the undergrounds have been the leaders of the antifascist movement in Ukraine during the Great Patriotic War, had twice the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. In addition, Sidor Kovpak had two Golden Stars, the Hungarian partisan medal, the Italian Gold and Bronze Stars of Garibaldi, the Knight of the Order of the White Lion and the Czechoslovak Cross, the Polish Cross of Grunwald. Oleksiy Fedorov has been awarded eight Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of Bogdan Khmelnytsky of the 1st Degree, the Order of the Great Patriotic War of the 1st and 2nd Degrees, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Red Star, and medals. The guerrillas and political figures were deputies of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and Sidor Kovpak became the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and a member of the Supreme Court of the Ukrainian SSR. Those partisan heroes are an example of worthy fighters for the glory of their own country and the welfare of its citizens, that is why it is so important for future lawyers to honour and appreciate their light memories and immortal feats.
