On 25 April 2018, a roundtable was held at the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Actual questions of protection of rights and legitimate interests of business entities as a result of actions of state authorities and local self-government bodies and economic entities operating in the sphere of their management".
This academic event was attended by students of the fourth year of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Professor of the Department of Commercial, Air and Space Law Valentyna Kozyreva. On the agenda was reviewed a lot of topical issues on the subject. In particular, The Business Ombudsman Algirdas Shemet disclosed the peculiarities of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities, which are often violated as a result of acts or omissions of state authorities or local self-government bodies, their officials, or as a result of illegal actions of individuals, legal entities. "Local authorities (local state administrations) or local self-government bodies, their officials may not always act, make decisions in the interests of business entities," he said. Among the heads of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, there was a discussion about the procedure for reviewing complaints about violation of their rights by the fiscal services of Ukraine. During the roundtable, a working group of specialists was created to provide consultations and prepare proposals to improve the regulatory framework in this area. During the meeting, Vice-President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Volodymyr Kolyadenko briefed the members of the roundtable on the activities of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noting that Ukraine has prospects and may increase its commodity circulation due to economic relations with foreign partners.
