March 22-23, 2018 students of the PR-301 and PR-302 Educational and Research Institute of Law accompanied by the Doctor of Law, associate professor of the department of criminal law and the process of Nazar Malyarchuk visited Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv.
Lawyers were given the opportunity to be present at the criminal proceedings under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as: p.12 part 2 of Art. 115 (Intentional killing by a group of persons under the previous convocation), Part 1 of Art. 115 (Intentional Murder). The cases of relevant criminal offenses took place at the trial stage, during which the students were able to fully feel the importance and complexity of work in court, as well as to consolidate their theoretical knowledge obtained during the study of the discipline "Criminal Procedure". A special impression on the future lawyers was made by the trial of the jury under Clause 12, Clause 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, during which the court made a decision on life imprisonment. This event became another sign event in the framework of activities planned by the department of criminal law and process, and also contributed to the understanding of the high mission and authority of the courts in Ukraine in the minds of prospective law graduates. We express our sincere gratitude to the employees of the Solomyansky district court of Kyiv for the opportunity to directly familiarize students with the work of the judge, the court and assistance in the legal process of lawyers.
