As part of the collaboration with the international public organization HWPL, which is the largest public association for peace, recognized by the Korean government and the UN, on December 15, 2017, a media forum was held at the Institute of Law and Science with Mr. Leo Chung, Ms. Leah Kim, Ms. Annie Song (Republic of Korea).
Participation in the forum was taken by the scientific-pedagogical staff of the Institute and students of 1-3 courses, who was fluent in English, as communication through Skype was only in a foreign language. Mr. Leo Chung, Ms. Leah Kim, Ms. Annie Song outlined the main positions of the Declaration of Peace and the ending of wars as a civic initiative and novations in a system of international acts aimed at protecting human rights. "The active participation of citizens around the world is crucial to achieving success in securing peace on the planet and ratifying this Declaration on the territory of all states," they said. Students was involved in discussing this Declaration by asking questions to representatives of the HWPL. As a result of the media forum, agreement was reached on further cooperation through joint participation in the development of international treaties aimed at maintaining peace and security around the world.
