“One of the most important components of successful social and economic development of any society is the protection of the rights and freedoms of their own citizens. A special place in this process is protection of the rights of minors, in particular, protection of their labour rights. Ukrainian legislation sets a number of special guarantees and privileges for minors, thus separating them to a separate category of special subjects of labour relations”, - noted Ganna Grabovska at the beginning of the lecture. Continuing the event, Yuliya Beluga disclosed the rights of minors, guarantees, working conditions through the media. “Labour legislation of Ukraine establishes certain peculiarities of legal regulation of the work of minors. This is due to the fact that they enjoy additional benefits in connection with physiological, psychological and age-specific features”, - she noted. Fourth-year students Oleksii Shulyak and Dmytro Pidenko prepared a presentation on the right to work of minors, which helped senior students not only theoretically perceive information, but also practically verify their knowledge of law by participating in a legal quiz. According to the results of the meeting, proposals were made on the plan of further cooperation between the Educational and Research Law Institute of NAU and Svyatoshinska Regional State Administration of Kyiv, because young people are the future of the state, a vital component of the successful economic development of society in the future, and the protection of minors need considerable attention from the authorities.
