On December 1, 2017, a roundtable on the topic "World AIDS Day" was held at the Institute of Educational and Research Institute of Law, organized by the Student Council of the Institute.
The purpose of the event is to inform youth about the HIV/AIDS problem. The educational director of the Institute, Doctor of Sciences, associate professor Irina Sopilko opened the educational event, which noted that today in Ukraine the epidemic situation with HIV remains tense, its distribution continues among the population, the number of HIV-infected people and AIDS patients is increasing . The event continued with the discussion of the state policy of the Government of Ukraine in combating the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV infection and AIDS, and outlining some of the shortcomings of legislative acts, as well as directions for their removal. "The government should create effective measures and a human rights system that would help to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS. Such work will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of measures that prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS ", - said the guest guest from the department of work with students of the NAU Vitaliy Sidorkin. In addition to the roundtable, the members of the Institute's Studios during the day held an action "Tie a Red Ribbon - a Symbol of the Fight Against AIDS" and produced informative wall newspapers devoted to "21st Century Disease." The problem of the fight against AIDS affects everyone, so let's remember this day and fight this disease together!
