On November 2nd, 2017, the students of group PR-403 of Educational and Research Institute of Law with their tutor Lyudmila Shapenko visited one of the greatest spiritual and artistic monument of the Ukrainian people - St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral in Kyiv.
St. Volodymyr's Cathedral is the main temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv, which embodies the great events of Christian history. This cathedral was built in the 19 century to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Rus' by prince Vladimir I of Kyev (St. Volodymyr). It has been one of the most prominent shrines of Christianity and cultural monuments that strikes its beauty and grandeur. Because the diversity of forms, the richness of the colors of the temple, the huge compositions on biblical themes and the unique paintings representing the history of the Rus’ Church, constituting the cultural heritage of our people and all Christian civilization. This event allowed students not only to immerse themselves in the world of Christian life, but also to understand the importance of the spiritual education for people, that is the basis for the perception of moral and ethical norms, the formation of a democratic outlook, as well as a guide for the harmonious development of personality.
