On October 12th and 13th, 2017 Vitaliy Sydorkin, the psychologist of the psychological and pedagogical section of the department for work with students of the NAU, held talks with students of the groups PR-201 and PR-203 of the Educational and Research Law Institute.
The psychologist discussed with the students of the PR-201 group the socio-psychological peculiarities of the organization of free time, noting that self-regulation of free time should be regarded as a person’s property, as an indicator of his/her maturity, the potential of her development and the ability to organize her biographical time. The study of the trends and problems of the development of leisure activities in their free time, ways of overcoming the existing contradictions in this area gives the opportunity to develop the spiritual needs and interests of students and thereby contribute to the growth of the culture of using them their free time, humanization and democratization of the latter. During the meeting with students of the PR-203 group Vitaliy Sidorkin revealed the psychological and ethical foundations of communication in the audience, noting that the effectiveness of communication with the audience depends largely on the lecturer (speaker), his personality and behaviour. This is promoted by his socio-psychological (communicative) and individual-psychological qualities (temperament, character, ability, etc.). A prerequisite for establishing a contact is the acceptance of students as equal partners in communication. “The speaker should tune in to the specific audience, inform and convince the mass audience with the means of a living word”, - he said. At the end of the meeting, the tutors of the groups Ganna Grabovska and Iryna Tolkachova invited Vitaliy Sidorkin to the fruitful cooperation through joint social and psychological trainings, representing a special form of active training in behavioural skills and personal development.
