From September 26 to 28 September 2017, the Chairman of the Student Council of the Educational and Research Institute of Law, Tatiana Lukashenko, was trained in the School of Active Citizens.
Within three days the student visited a cycle of trainings for those who want to strengthen the legal capacity of the territorial community of Kiev. On the first day of school, the lawyer of the NGO "Labor Initiatives" - George Sandul, the chief state inspector of the General Directorate of the Gostrud in the Kiev region - Alla Smilenko, and. about. director of the Fourth Kiev Local Center for Providing Free Secondary Legal Assistance - Sergey Breus, told participants about the specifics of protecting the labor rights of young people, as well as the legal aid system as a guarantee of effective protection of human rights in Ukraine. During the second day, the lawyer of the NGO La Strada Ukraine - Anna Saenko, the representative of the National Police of Ukraine - Sergey Gerasimchuk, the head of the legalization of citizens' associations and the state registration of print media of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Kiev - Vitalina Klaptsunyak, the procedure for creating public organizations in Ukraine, and also analyzed ways of overcoming domestic violence in the family. The third day of the School of Active Citizens was devoted to the problems of preventing and combating corruption in Ukraine, where representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Legal Aid of Ukraine informed the participants of the event about the activities of the NABU, the peculiarities of the work of this bureau and the employment opportunities of graduates of higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The event ended with the delivery of certificates to its participants.
