April 18, 2017 to the occasion of the celebration of the seventy-eighth anniversary of the Carpathian Ukraine, the lecture for students of the 3rd year of the Educational and Research Institute of Law on the topic «78 years of statehood on the lands of Carpathian Ukraine» was held by the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (retired), candidate of law, assistant professor Mykhailo Kolos».
During the meeting, law students, together with the speaker, recalled the historical ways of developing the lands of Ukraine, which are located in the Carpathians. The events of March 15, 1939 on the Red Field near Khust are tragic and heroic for the history of the Ukrainian state: inexperienced students from Sevlush and Khust have defended the land in front of the "important chamois" - the army of Horthy Hungary. This is the first resistance in Europe to the Nazis worthy of great respect and gratitude. Mykhailo Kolos noted that it was this state formation, which existed for a short time, is an important stage in the development of Ukrainian statehood. Such meetings contribute to the formation of a civic stand and vision of the historical development of the younger generation, the development of the ability to independently evaluate the events and deeds of individuals in specific historical conditions, the education of patriotism among young people, and respect for the heroic past of the Transcarpathian region.
