In November of 2016, according to the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Ukrainian Public Group, founded to promote the implementation of the Helsinki Accords, Department of Theory and History of State and Law of Educational and Scientific Law Institute held a contest of student essays on “The role of civil organizations and movements for the protection of human rights”.
Not only students of Educational and Scientific Law Institute took part in the contest, but also those from Educational and Scientific Institute of Air Navigation and from Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Management. Students provided the investigation of the activities of Ukrainian Public Group, founded to promote the implementation of the Helsinki Accords in their creative works. Also they expressed their vision of the problems of activities of civil organizations. On November 23, 2016, the results of the contest were summed up, so the winners were defined: 1st place – Ivanna Koval (PR-201 ES LI), 2nd place - Pavel Ilnitsky (PR-104 ES LI), 3rd place - Maxim Kovalev (AO-214 ES IAN). Nowadays it is important for every institution of higher education to become a center of becoming a citizen-patriot of Ukraine, who is ready to take responsibility, dedication to develop the country as a sovereign, independent, democratic, legal and social state.
