On November 2, 2016, in the hall of plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine parliamentary hearings on the theme "Values of the modern Ukrainian youth" have been conducted.
The participants of the event were: people’s deputies of the parliament, ministers, representatives of central and local executive authorities, local self-government, public and relevant international organisations, specialist of research institutions, university students, including the fourth year students of Education and Research Institute of Law of NAU. The hearing was opened by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko. During her speech, she said that the topic covers a wide range of key problems of Ukrainian youth status, their social values and state of the youth policy nowadays. The participants discussed the most interesting for the youth issues, especially concerning the provision of quality education and decent work, skilled medical care, better housing, cultural development capabilities and more. The most painful issue for the young people was the issue of education and employment, particularly students made the suggestion to some bills of laws concerning educational programs. According to the hearing results, suggestions from the speakers and expert discussion, Parliamentary hearings recommendations were accepted to approve by the parliament.
