On March 10th, 2016 the scientific seminar on the theme “International Experience of Teaching Legal Disciplines: Problems and Prospects” was held in the Educational and Research Law Institute.
The purpose of the event was to improve methods of teaching the legal disciplines using the best examples of the world science and practice. The seminar was attended by Iryna Sopilko, the Director of the Educational and Research Law Institute, Rostyslav Kalyuzhnyi, the responsible for scientific work, Mychailo Shumylo, the senior researcher of the Department of Problems of Civil, Labour and Enterprising Law of the Institute of State and Law named after V. Koretskyi of the NAS of Ukraine, Olena Druchek, the Head of the Department of Basic Legal and Psychological Disciplines of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Victor Mushenok, the assistant professor of the Department of Science of Law of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Oleg Forostyuk, the assistant professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Law Faculty of the European University, Anna Kombikova, the graduating student of the Educational and Research Law Institute of the NAU, senior lawyer of the International Law Firm AstapovLawyers, the heads of the departments, educators and students of the Institute. During the seminar there were discussed problems of scientific and professional activity of the lecturers abroad, special features of the organizing the educational process in law schools in the leading word states, etc. The observed experience of teaching the legal disciplines in foreign countries gave an opportunity to the participants of the scientific and methodological seminar to understand how we can improve our national system of education and professional training of the future lawyers.
