On February 29th, 2016 students of the academic groups PR-101 and PR-203 of the Educational and Research Law Institute, accompanied by their tutors Olena Makyeyeva and Lyudmyla Shapenko visited the National Museum of History of Ukraine.
The purpose of the tour was to develop the students’ cognitive interest in the historical past of their state. National Museum of History of Ukraine is the leading historical museum of Ukraine located on the Old Kyivv Hill, the birthplace of the Ukrainian capital. The museum has preserved ethnographic, archeological paintings and sculptures, numismatic collections, incunabula and other historical exhibits. The museum funds are extremely high, so the guide advised students to look at the exposition “Ukraine in the XX-XXI century”. During the tour students saw the photographs and documents of historical figures of different epochs, documents and awards, publicity posters and pictures that tell about the social and political life of that period. The future lawyers were the most interested in the first Soviet TV set KVN-49, transport aircraft AN-22 (Antei) (1965) and the text of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine dated July 16th, 1990. Such kinds of events form in future lawyers the patriotism and respect to the traditions and history of Ukraine.
