December 14th, 2015 the Department of Criminal Law and Process Educational and Research Institute of Law was organized and conducted a thematic exhibition "Ukraine - NATO: the development of mutual cooperation".
During the exhibition, Associate Professor Sergey Bagirov stated that Ukraine is the only NATO partner countries, which participated in all main current peacekeeping missions under its pretext. Ukrainian peacekeepers have been involved in the implementation of tasks as part of the International Security Force in Kosovo, NATO Training Mission in Iraq, the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF). Ukraine is a party to the NATO antiterrorist operation "Active Endeavour". June 17th, 2015 the Parliament of Ukraine ratified in 2013, has signed an agreement with NATO. It allows you to by the international technical assistance of NATO member countries to rebury radioactive waste (RW), formed as a result of the military programs of the former Soviet Union in Ukraine. June 20th, 2015, Senator John McCain, who heads the US Senate Committee on Armed Services, during the debate on the security conference GLOBSEC in Slovakia, called the mistake of NATO that the alliance stopped the way of Ukraine's membership in 2008 godu. In the end of June this year, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera, that the accession of Ukraine to NATO will be to say no earlier than in 6-7 years, and after the referendum. During the exhibition, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the history of Ukraine's approach to NATO, as well as get acquainted with the scientific and methodological literature on the subject.
