On December 9th, 2015 assistant professor of department of constitutional and administrative law of Educational and Research Institute of Law Igor Rozum conducted the lecture-discussion on theme: «Profession of a lawyer and its role in contemporary society» for the pupils of the Secondary school № 254 of Kiev.

During the discussion attention of pupils was concentrated on the fact, that profession of a lawyer as a peculiar appearance of social activity distinguished from the other by the row of specific properties, which are conditioned by the role that perform law and lawfulness in the life of society. Guarding of rights and legal interests of citizens, hard-edged fight against offences, highly qualified decision of different legal problems – are maintains of the daily work of a lawyer and at the same time are their professional opportunity. Exactly lawyers having thorough knowledge, corresponding professional preparation, a high sense of justice – can effectively protect rights and freedoms of a person and influence on strengthening of legality and law in the state.
During summing up it was marked for the present persons on a role and place of Educational and Research Institute of Law in a process of preparation of competitive specialists-lawyers for a dynamically-changeable labour-market, which is provided, from one side - by the presence of highly skilled faculty advisors, and from another – by the possibility of gradual practical preparation of student by a direct grant of legal assistance by him to scanty means groups of society under the direction of teacher in Legal advice «Legal clinic».
