On November 24th, 2011 the All-Ukrainian Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Aero-2011. Air and Space Law” organized by the Legal Institute was held in the form of plenary and sectional meetings.
Sopilko Iryna Mykolayivna – the Director of the Legal Institute of the National Aviation University, Ph.D (Law), assistant professor, Kozachok Yaroslav Viktorovych – Pro-Rector on Educational and Educative Work, Kopylenko Oleksandr Lyubomyrovych – the Director of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Suslova Galyna Andriyivna – the Director of the Institute of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Honored Worker of the Higher School of Ukraine, coordinator of implementation of the ICAO standards, professor of the National Aviation University welcomed the attendants. K. Levchenko – the President of the International Women’s Rights Centre “La Strada – Ukraine”, people’s deputy of the Parliament fifth convocation, Doctor of Law, professor, V. Kovalskyi – the President of the publishing concern “Yurinkom Inter”, Doctor of Law, professor, V. Fedorov – the Deputy Director of the Kyiv branch of the National Centre of Aerospace Education of Youth named after A. Makarov, M. Smokovych – judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine, Ph.D. (Law),V. Kostytskyi – the Head of the National Expert Commission of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality, Doctor of Law, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, K. Voloh – the Chief of the Department of Organization of Exploitation of Management of Special Programs of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, S. Gusaryev – the Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, professor, O. Kapustynskyi – the Executive Director of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Pilots made their reports during the plenary meeting. This conference was attended by 191 young scientists and students, among which were participants from 12 regions of Ukraine (Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Kyiv, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Ternopil regions). 23 educational establishments and 4 institutions which carry out their practical activity in the sphere of jurisprudence, in particular courts, the Center of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Pilots, legal consultation had representatives in this conference. During the conference the following topical questions on legal ensuring of aerospace sphere in the independent Ukraine were discussed: state and legal regulation of development of domestic aerospace industry, constitutional and administrative legal principles of air and space law and prospects of development of these legal areas, special features of investigation of crimes against transport traffic and exploitation, civil legal regulation of transportation, economic and legal regulation of relations in the sphere of airspace use, legal principles of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in aviation and rocket and space fields, etc. In the result of the All-Ukrainian conference of young scientists and students “Aero-2011. Air and Space Law” the proposals on improvement of legal ensuring of aerospace industry were formulated. We hope that proposals of the conference participants will be implemented in national legislation and also used as a reference point for development of the modern world.
