Consumers Rights Protection: Problems of Theory and Practice

14 05 15a bOn May 27th, 2015 in Methodical Room of the Law Institute the thematic exhibition “Consumers Rights Protection: Problems of Theory and Practice” was held. It was organized by Olga Onishchenko, assistant professor of the Department of Civil Law and Practice, and Juliya Beluga, senior lecturer.

The exhibition presented the topical editions which students can use to improve knowledge in the field of consumers rights protection, to be well-oriented at the market of goods and services, to be competent on realization of their consumers rights.
During the exhibition the attention was focused on the problems of education and upbringing of Ukrainian consumer. Unfortunately, consumers in Ukraine are usually unaware of their rights, they are influenced by the untruthful advertising and they do not have access to the information about products and services, they can not properly fix the violations of their rights and do not always have the opportunity to protect their rights. Therefore, there is an urgent need to train lawyers who is able to effectively use the means of protection of their rights and provide appropriate assistance to citizens-consumers.
