May, 21, 2015, National Scientific Conference for Science Day «Innovations in legal education» was held in Law Institute. The aim of it was a determination of further ways of innovative education activity development, accentuation on prior tasks for the faster implementation of the Law of Ukraine «On higher education», further legal providing of education sphere, better understanding of educational reforms, and recognition of their realization mechanism.
In their welcome speeches, Pavlo Borsuk, vice-rector on correspondence courses and distance studies of National Aviation University, and Iryna Sopilko, the director of Law Institute, doctor of law, associate professor, pointed out the importance of creation a scientific and intellectual ground for the discussion of innovations in education. This issue was also mentioned by the Conference co-organizer Andrii Butenko – head of the Coordination Council of Young Lawyers of Ukraine at Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, dean of Law faculty of «European University», candidate of historical sciences, associate professor. With a great interest participants listened to reports of Oleksandr Holovkin – professor of the department of civil law disciplines of National Academy of prosecutors of Ukraine, doctor of law, full professor; Mykola Holovko - deputy director for science of Institute of pedagogy of National academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor; Mariia Lubska - chief scientific consultant of humanitarian and international issues of harmonization of legislation with the EU and human rights protection of Chief Scientific Expert Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine; Andrii Matviichuk – dean of the Law faculty of International university of economics and humanities named after academician Stepan Demianchuk, candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor; Olha Ozerian – senior lecturer of the university and professional education and law department of the Central institute of postgraduate pedagogical education of University of education management of the National academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine; Bohdan Paduchak – head of the sector of use and transfer of intellectual property rights of the Intellectual property research institute of the National academy of law sciences of Ukraine, candidate of law sciences; Olena Pometun - head of the laboratory of social science education of Institute of pedagogy of National academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine; Valerii Poliukhovych - head of the expert legal department of Research Institute of IFR named after F.G. Burchak NALS Ukraine, doctor of law, senior researcher. The participants of the conference stated that Ukraine needs not a partial, but a system reform of education that should be a subject of social consensus, and also that education is one of the main methods of civilization’s and economics’ development. That is why everyone, both student and experienced scientist, has to join this process and initiate those necessary changes that will make our universities more attractive for the applicants and be competitive on the international level.
