May 21, 2015 Ph.D. Lubov Terekhova conducted a practical training on the topic: «The problem space of punishment's philosophy» for students of specialization "The Court. Advocacy. The prosecutor's office. Notary".
During the class discussed the genesis of the concept of punishment in Ukraine in terms of the exercise of Socrates, Plato, J. Bentham, the French philosophers of the Enlightenment, as well as a discussion around the current challenges facing the philosophy of punishment with the development of views on the purpose of punishment and ways of achieving it. Lubov Terekhova is paid the particular attention to the connection between theory of the social contract and the law of the State in the courts to impose penalties. The result of practical training for students was the deepening of knowledge about the origins of the theory of punishment and further development of the philosophy of punishment, which is an important component of training prosecutors and investigators.
