On 12th May the students of the first year of studying of Law Institute together with lecturers of the Department of the Theory and History of State and Law Oksana Myronets and Lyudmyla Shapenko visited the Sitting House of Ukrainian Parliament.
While seeing the sitting and conference hall and lobby of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine excursionists had the opportunity to learn more about the specific character activities of the sole legislative body of Ukraine, peculiarities of work of “Rada” system and also to have a talk with some elected representative of the people working at their places. During the excursion much attention was paid to the history of Verhovna Rada building which was built in 1939 according to the plan of architect V. Zabolotniy. The building, embodying classical approaches and forms of that time, is considered to be an example of “ukrainian architectural classic”, a real capital building. At the end of excursion the students took pictures against a background of famous painting of A. Kulakov “Foundation of the state” devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine.
