April 22, 2015, students of Law Institute Julia Kozak, Maria Roschuk, Alina Tkachenko contributed to the work of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations, the meeting which reviewed and recommended a number of bills to the Parliament.
The Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt in the first reading the draft law №1632, Ukraine on documents, identity and give the right to travel abroad and decided to establish a working group at the Committee for the preparation of the bill a second reading. According to the resuscitation of the package of reforms Victor Tymoshchuk because of this bill will be simplified procedure for obtaining documents and lowered their cost. The document was approved by the Council of Europe. It was also recommended Parliament to adopt in the first reading a basis and prepare a simplified procedure for the second reading the bill №1456, on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (regarding equal rights and opportunities for women and men in the electoral process). During the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska presented an annual report on the observance and protection of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine. Participation in the meeting of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations provided an opportunity for students to feel the real deputies and participate actively in the development and adoption of the bill.
