March, 26, 2015 Law Institute together with the department of theory of state and law of V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held a Round table on the topic: “The system of law: reality and prospects”.

At the opening of this scientific meeting Iryna Sopilko, director of Law Institute, doctor of law sciences, wished the participants an effective work and emphasized that the quality of life in society greatly depends on the perfection of the social institutes, especially the system of law.
During discussion prominent scientists, in particular Rostyslav Kaliuzhnyi – responsible person for the scientific research in Law Institute of NAU, doctor of law, full professor and Mykhailo Kolos – associate professor of the department of justice and criminal law of I. Malinovskyi Institute of Law of The National University of Ostroh Academy, expressed the opinion concerning reviewing both the essence and the content of “the law system” definition, bringing it in line with contemporary needs and realities of legislative, enforcement and research activities.
The issues of valuable dimension of law, freedom as the essential principle of law, mutual influence and correlation between system of law with such phenomena of legal reality as the legal system and the system of legislation, were discussed in the meeting.
Such scientific events help new views to appear, guide young researchers in the direction of their further scientific activity.
