On the 28th of February, 2015 the students of the academic group PR-103 of Law Institute with the tutor Liudmyla Shapenko visited the Museum of a book and publishing in Ukraine.
During the tour the students were able to get very important information about the architectural monuments of the Kiev-Pecherska Lavra, particularly about the monastic house print shop that had been operating continuously for 300 years, from the early seventeenth to the early twentieth century. Today the house became the museum, which collects treasures book of Ukrainian culture, that have the history of origin and development of Typography from the Kiev Rus to the present day. View of exposures allowed to be filled with deeply challenging fate of a Ukrainian book when Ukrainian language was forbiden by the Russian Empire, understand the origin of writing of the Eastern Slavs and the establishment by the educators Cyryl and Mephodiy of Cyrillic and Glagolitic, learn about the history of publishing in Ukraine and Ukrainian Foreign centers of emigration and diaspora, and to create cognitive interest and love to a book as invaluable everlasting wealth.
