On the 11th of December in 2014 the students of the group PR-103 of Law Institute with the tutor Lyudmyla Shapenko visited the school and iconic art studio named after I. Izhakevich.
The students had the opportunity to meet one of the centers of icon painting traditions and art schools that were established in the XI-XII century during the Kyivska Rus. The exhibited exhibition in Lavra workshops showed the works of modern masters of iconography and valuable portfolio of artists, which are aimed at the revival of Ukrainian art and the development of artistic culture and spiritual life of Ukraine. In the exhibition hall attention was paid on the icons of the Intercession of the Mother of God, the God Father, the God Son, the Holy Spirit, the St. Nicholas, the St. George and others, and landscape works that reflected the beauty and grandeur of nature in different seasons. This tour formed the foundation about the history of sacred art, represented spiritual values of temple culture, artistic achievements of the past, canonical heritage of advanced technology and methodological guidelines that generally contributed to increase the spiritual culture of every visitor.
