November 18 2014 in the Law Institute was held a meeting with students of the 2nd year of the Director of the Department of regulatory and legal support of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Andriy Zabolotnyi.
In his speech Andriy Zabolotnyi highlighted the main focus of the civil service reform in Ukraine at the stage of implementation of new mechanisms for good governance to the adaptation of national legislation with EU legislation. Cooperating with the audience and drawing students' attention to diverse statistical indicators of the quality of public institutions, accentuated the priorities of civil service reform in Ukraine, namely ensuring the political neutrality of the civil service, the exclusion of this sector corruption components, the introduction of objective selection staff on a competitive basis, a return to the institution of state secretaries in the executive branch, update criteria for the classification of civil servants and passage of service, improve their welfare and others. Navel comparative characteristics of domestic and international law in the civil service, and highlighted the main provisions of the new draft Law of Ukraine "On State Service". Guest positively noted the interest of the students and made a suggestion for collaboration with students of Law Institute with the National Agency of Ukraine through the relevant lectures, the possibility of passing some students of legal practice in National Agency of Ukraine subdivisions and involvement in meetings and thematic workshops.
