On September 28, 2023, the head of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law of the Faculty of Law, Lyubov Netska, held an online presentation for high school students of Lyceum № 10 in Kovel, Volyn Region, on the topic "Rules for using light personal electric vehicles."
During the presentation, students' attention was focused on the significant number of road accidents caused by users of electric scooters, the need to observe general traffic rules by owners of light electric vehicles and the recommended rules that apply to them in certain cities, in particular in the cities of Lviv and Kyiv. The speaker also familiarized minors with the experience of legal regulation of the use of personal electric vehicles in certain EU states (France, the Netherlands, Poland), and also carried out an analysis of legal norms in Ukrainian legislation, which introduced the first special rules for users of this type of transport. The head of the department emphasized the importance of legal knowledge and the role of the legal profession in order to establish law and order in the state.
Lyceum students shared their impressions and experiences of using segways and electric scooters and admitted that in the absence of clear legal requirements for such transport, they did not think about special rules and warnings.
At the end of the meeting, future applicants were provided with detailed information about the prospects of studying at the Faculty of Law of NAU and the available opportunities for obtaining a law degree.
We wish success to the high school students and hope that as a result of the career orientation meeting, the graduates of the lyceum will join the student ranks of the National Aviation University!!!
