June 10, 2019, students of the 1st course of the Law Faculty got acquainted with the work of the legislative body of state power - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
It is necessary, first of all, to ensure a high level of legislative skills of both norm-draftsmen and legislators. This will make law-making process meet the needs and interests of society, the requirements of legislative machinery, international legal standards. The legal education of participants in the legislative process is an important component of which is legal education.
That is why proper training of future legislators at the university is of particular importance today. The first step to this is to introduce students of the 1st course at LF with the work of VRU.
Attending session and conference rooms, lobby rooms, a meeting room, a press center allowed students to see and understand the features of the work of the legislative body of state power. Indeed, within the walls of the Ukrainian parliament, bills are reviewed and adopted, important issues are discussed between factions, parties, groups; presidents take oath; deputies hold press conferences and briefings, making crucial decisions that become key moments in the history of the Ukrainian state and its people.
The students viewed with interest the picture of A. Kulakov “Creating a State”, a flag that was brought to the Hall of the Ukrainian Parliament during the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine and a copy of the Constitution of Ukraine, on which the President of Ukraine takes the oath. The most enterprising students tried their abilities in conducting a briefing, at which they presented their vision of the further development of the Ukrainian state.
